Rev. Kanyama’s professional career cuts across the fields of academia, non-governmental and international sector organisations. He is a father of two boys and one girl, a Christian music composer and singer. He is a former teacher of mathematics at Naboye Secondary School. He was also a Lecturer in Business Studies at National Institute of Development Studies in Gaborone, Botswana. He then became the Executive Director of NZP+/UNICEF Zambia office, is a Christian educator and sexual health activist.

He was ordained as Apostle of Christ of the Seventh Day Sabbath Church and confirmed Reverend for the Western European Episcopal.

He is a Director at OPAM in London, UK’s only African organisation engaged in supporting African men and their families on advocacy, access and support to HIV and sexual health services, while pursuing his calling in Pastoral Ministry with the Seventh Day Sabbath Church.

He sits on several sexual health-related steering and advisory groups at regional and local levels, as well as on the management committee of Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham User’s Forum.

Elias is the Head of the Awareness Programmes at TB Alert. TB Alert is the UK's national and international Tuberculosis NGO - the only British NGO working solely on fighting TB in the UK and overseas. TB Alert also funds TB awareness and support projects in India, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Before joining TB Alert, Elias worked for Terrance Higgins Trust (the largest sexual health and HIV NGO in Europe) as the Sector Development lead for African Communities Prevention Programmes. Previously he worked for LIRDP (NORAD funded programme), as a Community Development Co-ordinator in Zambia.

Elias was a founding member of Zambians Abroad Skills Network (ZASN) whose activities are now delivered through Zambia Diaspora Connect (www.zambiaconnect.org), where he is a member. He is a Board of Directors for AAEGRO and Africa Focus, both of which are registered UK NGOs. Bernard a Manager who is specialized in Advanced and Enhanced Technical Services introduced by the UK government under the New Pharmacy Contract. In additional to his normal duties as a Pharmacist, he provides pharmaceutical, strategic, clinical, legal and technical education to other healthcare professionals and his team on services from Secondary care to Primary care.

He also run his own SIDO Company – BKM (UK) LTD (initials of his full name). BKM (UK) LTD has contracts with Primary Care Trusts, Independent Contractors and chains on technical support on the provision of modern Advanced professional Services.

He has won many accolades with his work and is in the 2009 Presidential Who's Who publication on page 212, which is distributed worldwide and stocked in all the major libraries in the world. Dambisa is the Head of Economic Research and Strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa at Goldman Sachs, where she has worked for the past eight years. From May 1993 to September 1995, she worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C., as a co-author to its annual World Development Report. She is the author of a book Dead Aid, published by Penguin and Farrar, Strauss & Giroux in Spring 2009.

In 2005, she presented her work on Foreign Aid, Debt, and Poverty in developing countries at the World Economic Forum annual meetings in Davos, Switzerland. Dr. Beyani has been teaching international law and human rights at LSE since 1996. Dr Chileshe is a former Executive Engineer at the Ministry of Works and Supply, Buildings Department in Lusaka, Zambia. He worked as a part time lecturer in structural design, teaching final year civil engineering students at the University of Zambia. He then joined Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick and Partners in 1992, in the Basingstoke offices as a Graduate Engineer working mainly in bridge design and site supervision. He enrolled on an MSc Construction Management Course at Sheffield Hallam University in 1993 and graduated in 1996. He then went on to do a PhD research program. Dr Chileshe is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB), Fellow of The Association of Building Engineers (FBEng), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management (MCIM). He worked part time lecturing as an RVL from September 1997 and was appointed as a full time lecturer in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying from May 1999. From March 2005 to September 2005 he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa conducting research into Construction within the Southern African Built Environment Research Center (SABERC).

Dr. Mutale, has been a Consultant Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatrist at St Andrew’s Hospital in Northampton since 1997. He is a doctor with specialist knowledge of mental health and has prepared reports on cases in court, social services, youth justice, the Criminal Injuries Board and Mental Health Review Tribunals. He is based at the largest secure psychiatric inpatient unit for young people in Western Europe. He is also a former member of the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales responsible for advising the Home Secretary and tasked with the development and funding of the entire UK youth justice system. His research interests include the influence of abnormal mental phenomena on adolescent offending or antisocial behavior.

Dr Mulenga is also Senior Chartered Engineer and Project manager. He has previously worked at the German "Bauhaus University Weimar" as a Lecturer & Scientist and at the "University of Birmingham" as Research Fellow. He holds a chain of Degrees including a PhD, Master of Science Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Civil Structural Engineering and Structural Materials. He has also studied Theology up to PhD Degree level.

In August 2005 Dr Mulenga organised a "Vision Sharing Meeting" at Thistle Hotel in Birmingham out of which 13 people signed in to run with the vision and break forth. This was marked by our first church service in Birmingham in October 2005. Since then the church has been experiencing rapid growth with God working signs and miracles in our services.

At Sky she works on the world shift, broadcasting to Africa and Asia during the period when Britain is asleep, hunting out major news stories, arranging interviews and keeping up with breaking news around the world. Her ‘day’ starts at 7pm, when she leaves her Leicestershire home for London, and she is on air from midnight until 6am.

Prof. Zumla is a highly accomplished phycisian, educator and author among other things. He is the Director of the Research Centre for Infectious Diseases and International health which spans the interface between clinical investigation and biomedical science with the long term goals of understanding the pathogenesis of infectious diseases and developing methods for better treatment and control. Research is conducted in my Centre's laboratories (shared with the Department of Bacteriology) based at the University College London Windeyer Institute of Medical Sciences. Field site research activities are being undertaken at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. A formal relationship (UNZA-UCLMS TB/HIV Research and Training Project of which I am Director) was established with the University of Zambia School of Medicine in 1994.

His My Centre has taken a lead role in worldwide advocacy for tuberculosis programs in Central Africa. A multidisciplinary approach towards tackling tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS involving integration of basic science with epidemiology and social science is being developed in order to maximise the final outputs in terms of recommendations for the delivery and patient acceptance of established and emerging treatments and preventive therapies.

Dr. Zumla is a former Vice President of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and was an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Medical School and School of Public Health in Houston, Texas from 1991 to 1994.

Chola Mukanga is an Economic Advisor in Her Majesty’s Government Economic Service. He has responsibility to advise the Department for Transport on aviation policy with special focus on future developments of Stansted and Heathrow Airports. This includes market analysis, appraisal and modelling of surface access transport, econometric analysis of air travel, financial assessment of projects and economic advice on any other aspect of aviation policy. Chola has held a number of different posts across Her Majesty’s Government, including advising the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister on matters relating to transport and development, local government, regeneration and urban issues, housing economics and developing methodology for measuring Public Service Agreements.

Prof. Chirwa is the Chair of Automotive & Aerospace Structures and Head of Bolton Automotive & Aerospace Research Group (BAARG) as well as the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of The International Journal of Crashworthiness. His recent paper: Flaws in Malibu I and II interpretations of test results that have influenced many poor rollover roof designs.

Born and bred in Mufulira, Clive, studied and married in the Union of Socialist Soviet Republic in the late 1970's. He then worked briefly at the Mechanical Services Department before joining the University of Zambia as a Lecturer. After obtaining his doctoral degree in 1986, he briefly worked at UNZA in the same capacity before moving on to University of Liverpool, UK.

He recently told an interviewer, "I've worked tremendously hard to reach this particular position. To complicate the issues I am African and foreigner. I am a pioneer in my engineering field of crashworthiness, indeed I am number one in the world and people come to me for advice on technology. Therefore, presidents, prime ministers, ministers, senators, EU Commissioners, company directors, technical staff, academics and my colleagues who are totally Caucasians have come to accept me because of my input to modern science, technology and engineering as a whole. She is now a Lecturer at the University of Essex working mainly on Bantu languages and is interested in tone and intonation as well as morpho-syntax in Bantu. Dr. Moobela worked as a Research Associate at the University of Reading, after finishing his PhD in 2004, focussing on asset management strategies for social housing and as a Research Fellow at Loughborough University exploring social sustainability assessment. His research interests revolve around the three themes of social capital, complexity theory, and social sustainability as they relate to the built environment. Prior to commencement of his PhD, he had been working as a Lecturer in Property Valuation and Investment Appraisal at Copperbelt University.

He also worked for David Kaunda High School as a Teacher, Lecturer at Lusaka Trades Training Institute, and Senior Examiner for the Examination Council of Zambia, and then joined the University of Gothenburg in Sweden as a lecturer until 2003. After working for 25 years in different positions with so many organisations in a number of African countries (and) in my country of origin - Zambia and having trained in other countries including China and the United States, it was time to retrain and repackage myself for the UK/international job markets.

At the age of 45,with a six-month-old child, no job and no state benefits, there I was applying to study for a Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration at Borders College in Galashiels. Yes, only a mad or very determined person can decide to combine college work with changing nappies at the beginning of a new millennium.

Norman who is currently employed by the world's largest medical charity, Christian Blind Mission(CBM UK) also serves a Director of Trade Africa 2000 Plus Limited, The Social Enterprise Institute, Council member of the World Mission Council of the Church of Scotland. Besides his full time job, Mr Chipakupaku is a trade justice campaigner who continues to campaign very strongly against poverty in the development world.

As a Founder member of the Zambia Think Tank Forum, the Scottish Borders Aids Group(SBAAG) and the Scotland-Zambia Association, Mr Chipakupaku is also a very strong support of the cooperative movement and is working very closely with the Cooperative College in the UK to raise the aware of the role of cooperative in fighting poverty. Dr Chisabingo had been appointed to the post of General Practitioner with Special Interest in Obstetrics. Dr Chisabingo was currently completing his GP Vocational Training Scheme in Rotherham, having previously worked in various posts in the NHS and also in Zambia, where he was a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 5 years. Dr Chisabingo took up the post in mid February 2007.

Dr Bwalya, Mungwi Technical School class of 1973, is trained in anaesthesia and intensive care. His main interests are neurosurgery, paediatric, trauma, orthopaedic and urological anaesthesia and is involved in most anaesthetic disciplines.

His practice of anaesthesia includes the use of localised/regional techniques as well as general anaesthsia; depending on the medical needs and indications as well as the patient choice.

Dr. Kafwembe, (Mpelembe, 1997) joined Advantica in January 2005 after graduating from the University of Birmingham. For two years she worked in the Hazard and Risk Management practice as a Safety Engineer. In this role, she applied risk assessment methodologies to predict the frequency and consequence of failure on high-pressure gas pipelines as well as onshore and offshore installations. Specific examples include Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) for LNG facilities and Land Use Planning (LUP) assessments for building developments planned in the vicinities of such installations. In this role she was involved in meetings with clients and in some cases gave presentations or workshops to them.

In January 2007 she moved to a Process Engineering role. She has been working on Availability modelling of offshore oil and gas installations. She is looking forward to broadening her technical and project management skills within this role. She's working towards achieving chartered status and hope's that the variety of work available will allow her to achieve this goal.

Dr. Kapembwa is an internationally recognised expert on HIV/AIDS. "There is evidence from previous studies showing that women using combined oral contraceptives may shed more HIV from the cervix than non-users," senior investigator Dr. Moses S. Kapembwa told Reuters Health. Thus, "there exists the potential that such women may be more infectious since high concentrations of HIV in cervical mucus increase the risk of HIV transmission among heterosexuals."

Dr. Nabuzoka, who has distinguished himself as an expert in Psychology, worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute for African studies, and lectured in psychology at the University of Zambia from 1984; He also worked briefly as a Post-doctoral researcher at University of Sheffield in 1993 before moving on to become a lecturer at Oxford Brookes University in 1994; became Lecturer in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University in 1996 and Senior Lecturer from 1999; and has also been an Associate Lecturer of The Open University. He has also been consultant to a number of organizations including: UNICEF, WHO, SNV-Netherlands Organization, DfEE, VSO, Ministry of Education (Zambia), and Somali Community Drugs Action Project.

He is the author of Children with Learning Disabilities social functioning and adjustment book. This is a must have text for any Special Education teacher and for parents with special ed children.
