Richard has the following academic degrees:
PhD in Economics from Warsaw University in Poland, 1996
MBA from University of Calgary in Canada, 2000
M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, Warsaw Technical University, Warsaw, Poland, 1991.

Dr. Richard Mbewe is one of Poland's leading economists. He is a lecturer of international economics and marketing at various universities in Poland. Since August 2000, he was employed as the Chief Economist of the Warsaw Investment Group (WGI) S.A. - Poland's leading private forex management company. Currently he is now the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner at Atria Real Estate Partners in Warsaw.

Dr Mbewe's economic commentaries are widely quoted in various media including TV, radio and business dailies. He is a member of the Advisory Council to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on foreign economic policy, among other memberships. He is the co-organizer for the Poland Roadshow Conferences aimed at promoting Poland in the EU countries.
Richard and his family live in Warsaw, Poland since early 1984. He is a role model of what one can achieve through hard work and determination regardless of location.
