Sheila holds the following qualifications:
M.Sc in Gender and Rural Development Studies at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
B.V.M, Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zambia, 1993.

Dr. Sheila, a Veterinarian turned Social Scientist, worked as a research associate in the Gender and Development Program at Asian Institute of Technology after graduation with a masters degree. While living in Thailand, she also conducted research in Lao People Democratic Republic, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Malaysia. At the end of 1997, she left Asia to live in the Netherlands. She joined the ENERGIA team in October, 1999 as the Coordinator of Phase 2 and now works for the ENERGIA Secretariat as the Deputy Executive Secretary of Phase 3 of the programme.
