Tasila holds the following qualifications:
PhD in Conservation Ecology, University of California, Davis, USA, 2000-2005.
MS, Environmental Resources, Arizona State University, USA, 1997-2000
BSc, University of Zambia, 1991-1995.
As Carbon Project Manager,Tasila’s experiences at Face the Future where she has worked since September 2010 include: Project Document development, coordination of carbon monitoring activities, development of carbon monitoring reports, coordination of the carbon validation and verification activities and carrying out forest carbon feasibility studies.
Prior to joining Face, she owned an Environmental Consulting firm called Aruta Consult from July 2010 to September 2010. She worked as Project Manager for Fundraising at People 4 Earth from February 2010 to June 2010 where work involved creation and implementation of fundraising plan and strategy to generate support from individuals, corporations and foundations.
From May 2007 to March 2008, she was the Project Manager at African Wild Dog Conservation Project, where she coordinated various project modules; carried out program development and research design; lead the team and conducted recruitment; fundraised, wrote grant proposals and prepared budgets; prepared and presented financial and technical reports to donors;
prepared and negotiated Memorandum Of Understanding with the Zambia Wildlife Authority; co-ordinated inter-agency and partner activities, and; carried out progress monitoring and evaluation.

The Netherlands
Sheila holds the following qualifications:
M.Sc in Gender and Rural Development Studies at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
B.V.M, Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zambia, 1993.
Dr. Sheila, a Veterinarian turned Social Scientist, worked as a research associate in the Gender and Development Program at Asian Institute of Technology after graduation with a masters degree.
While living in Thailand, she also conducted research in Lao People Democratic Republic, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Malaysia.
At the end of 1997, she left Asia to live in the Netherlands.
She joined the ENERGIA team in October, 1999 as the Coordinator of Phase 2 and now works for the ENERGIA Secretariat as the Deputy Executive Secretary of Phase 3 of the programme.
