Danny heads the Animal Care Program at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Brampton, on the outskirts of Toronto. He teaches: Diagnostic Imaging (Ultrasound, Radiology, CT and MRI). He is also a partner in a local small animal hospital.

Prior to joining Sheridan, he was at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine from 2002 - December 2008. At Ross he taught gross, radiographic and clinical anatomy of small and large animals. Prior to joining Ross University, he was a Veterinary ultrasound application specialist at Visualsonics, Inc. in Toronto, Canada. His membership includes: Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Association of Zambia. He is married to Jane (UNZA ‘moma’) and blessed with 2 handsome boys.

Chrispin was born at his grandfather Kawa (William) Ntungo Simukwanya’s village by River Mwame, in Mbala, Zambia, Africa on November 4, 1961. People called the village William after his grandfather’s English name.

He attended Mbala Government School from 1970 to 1976 and Isoka Secondary School from 1977 to 1981. He was admitted to the University of Zambia School of Agricultural Sciences in November 1982. After completing his Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences degree in July 1987, he accepted a Training Instructor position at the Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) in Lusaka.

In April 1988, Chrispin was retained by the University of Zambia as a Staff Development Fellow. He pursued his Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management from 1988 to 1991 at the University of Manitoba. After achieving his master’s degree he worked as a Lecturer at the University of Zambia in 1992. In January 1993, he returned to the University of Manitoba to pursue his doctorate degree in Agricultural Economics, which he earned in October 1996.

Chrispin met the sweetheart of his life Grace Kamanga at the University of Zambia in 1992. The two were married on August 8, 1993 in Lusaka and have since been blessed with four children Myazwe, Mbawemi, Chawezi and Mutende.

Chrispin has dedicated himself to writing and training to inspire, motivate and empower individuals to recognize and exploit their potential while achieving their goals since 2003. He founded Thursday with Chrispin Ntungo (TwCN) in 2003. The popularity of TwCN articles speaks volumes to their practicality and relevance. Chrispin is also a published author of Well Disciplined To Excel (2005), Influence for Positive Change (2006) and The Secret Behind America’s Might (2006). At the time of publishing this book Chrispin worked as Acting Manager of Quality Services at the City of Winnipeg Property Assessment Department. TwCN.

Since 1997 Dr. Ntungo has assisted investors in Canada to prepare their business plans in English to meet the high Canadian standards for business plans.

Florence is a human rights lawyer with the Department of Justice, Canada. She is a member of the Bar in Ontario, a Solicitor of the Court of Appeal of Ontario and the Superior Court of Justice. She is an accomplished public civil servant with 17 years Federal and Provincial government experience in providing legal and policy on issues such as human rights law, anti-discrimination, employment equity, gender and equality issues.

As a Senior Policy Advisor, Florence was recognised with a Government of Canada merit award for a distinguished contribution to the Privy Council Office for supporting and providing advice to the office of the Prime Minister of Canada on issues related to the Prime Minister’s prerogative for appointments to public office such as successive Deputy Minister shuffles, diplomatic corps and appointments of CEOs to Boards and Agencies. She served in this capacity from 2005-2007.

Florence served with the Ontario provincial government from 1990 to 1994, as Special Advisor to a Cabinet Minister and the Attorney General of Ontario. She is also a former Ontario provincial prosecutor.

Before moving to Canada in 1989, Florence worked for the National Assembly of Zambia and prior to that she worked for the Legal Services Corporation in Lusaka, Zambia. She later joined the House of Commons in Ottawa, Canada.

She has appeared in a number of published articles including: inter pares (Justice Canada) Winter/spring 2002 .

Dr. Mukwavi started his ministry in Zambia planting a church in Mufulira and serving as pastor at Evangel Church, Chingola. He later moved with his wife and children to the Netherlands where they served as missionaries. They were involved in church planting, helping plant the International Christian Centre in Beverwijk and Amsterdam Bible Academy and also served as pastors. In 1997 the family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada where Bernard served on staff at Harvest City Church as a teacher at Into His Harvest Training School (IHH). Dr. Bernard continued to travel to Holland and Zambia twice a year giving oversight and leadership to churches and organizations such as Mercy Touch Mission International which he and his wife co-founded Mercy Touch Mission International In 2006, Bernard and his family moved to British Columbia, Canada to serve as the Senior Pastor of Fleetwood International Church in Surrey.

Morgan who has two "birth" dates spent two months in Zambia, during the summer of 2005, working on the research he began years ago — research that could change the way psychological testing is performed in Zambia forever.

Dr. Sikaneta is an accomplished Family Physician, who has practiced medicine in both Zambia and Canada. He is also a community leader and mentor. Clement joined Prices and Income Commission as a Senior Cost Accountant in 1983. In 1987 he moved to Coopers and Lybrand International as Audit Senior and rose to the position of Assistant Audit Manager. Between 1989 and 1997 he worked in the same capacity as Chief Financial Officer for Posts and Telecommunications Coporation, Zambia National Building Society, Zambia National Provident Fund. Later on he was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Zambia National Building Society until he left to join Social Security Commission in Namibia in 2000. In Namibia, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Social Security Commission up to 2003. Now at Trace Aid, they are drawing up a training program for bureaucrats in Governmental institutions to bring them to the forefront in fighting corruption within Government departments.

Rev Mutale was trained in journalism and served in the media for three years after high school in 1975. A switch to personnel administration followed rising to the rank of Human Resources Manager for a mining subsidiary company. In between, Rev Mutale learned operations management, and was instrumental in opening an office for World Vision in Zambia. He served as Project Coordinator and Operations Manager which also served as a deputy director position.

In August 1975, the most significant life event took place when the young seventeen year old in the last year of high school gave his life to Jesus Christ. In 1987, Rev Mutale began theological studies in Zambia. By fortune of Mrs. Mutale’s commonwealth scholarship, the family moved to Canada in 1988.

Rev Mutale served a two point all white parish in the Annapolis Valley for eight years. In 1998, he became pastor of Victoria Road United Baptist Church in Dartmouth following the retirement of the legendary Dr Donald E. Fairfax. At Victoria Rd, Rev Mutale established many different types of community projects in the church covering youth employment, literacy development for adults, and work readiness programs. He has a strong community emphasis. He is also an avid sportsman who enjoys playing, coaching and refereeing soccer. In 2002, he became Regional Minister for Region VII, the African United Baptist Association. He is now in the early stages of doctoral work.

Dr. Bwalya is a specialist in heat transfer analysis of thermal systems involving combustion and phase change processes using experimental and numerical methods. His doctoral and post-doctoral research involved experimental and analytical work with refrigeration and heat pump systems emphasising the energetic and heat transfer behaviour of new benign refrigerants and systems. He is currently working on the fire safety engineering analysis of buildings of various occupancy types using design fires derived from realistic fire scenarios.

Munyonzwe is one of Canada's most successful legal heavyweights. His legal prowess and success did not come overnight. Born in a farming district of Monze, he recently wrote: "One hundred per cent of the time, where a person is born is an occasion of accident. People do not choose where they are born. They just happen to be born there."

As a student at the University of Zambia, he was locked up in solitary confinement for 6 months in 1976 for demonstrating against the Kaunda Administration. He later fled the country to Canada by way of Tanzania in 1977. He went to school in Canada, earning himself a master of arts before switching to try his hands at Law in 1989.

He now "practices Administrative Law, Human Rights Law, Immigration Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional law, Family law all at both trial and appeal levels and International Law of Human Rights. His zeal for law and justice are influenced by terrible circumstances he endured in his shaping years." In 1997, he run for Mayor of Toronto.

Chasaya, who is a BEIT Trust Fellow, is not only regarded as one of Zambian-born prolific singers, songwriters and performers but also "viewed as the fresh voice of the Zambian music renaissance."

"His smooth silky vocals are playing a pivotal role in taking the rich Zambian music genres of Kalindula, Makewane, Manchancha and Zambezi across the Atlantic Ocean and beyond the Mediterranean Sea."

"The blend of African and Western Rhythms give Chasaya a unique feel that makes him an internationally accepted artiste. Testimony to this is the response his debut album ‘Inspirationally Yours’ received when it was released in 2002. On the album Chasaya switches between Rhythm ‘n Blues and Zambian traditional folk and still captures the imagination of his listeners."

"He has not only taken his mesmerizing vocals abroad but also his unique dance moves. He has proved to be an energetic performer who is a pleasure to watch. He won the Cuban Salsa Dance Championships in the UK in 2001. He is also a regular feature at AfroFest, Canada’s biggest African music and dance festival.

Born in Ndola, he worked for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) in Chililabombwe, after graduating from University of Machester.

"Chasaya’s band, the Mosi-O-Tunya (meaning the “Smoke that Thunders” the local name for Zambia ’s Victorial Falls) Vibes are a collection of some of the most accomplished musicians from Ecuador, Germany, Kenya, Ghana and Canada .Their interpretation of Zambian music is simply magical."

Hanneke has the following academic qualification:

Hanneke'S thesis focused on the relationship between the structural complexity of corals and associated reef fish communities and the assessment of impact of small-scale fisheries in the Spermonde Archipelago, Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Her working career started as Fisheries Biologist for the Netherlands Institute for Fisheries Research in the Netherlands where she conducted research on the catch composition and population dynamics of target and non-target fish species in the Dutch beam trawl fishery and on alternative fishing methods to reduce by-catch.

Longing to return to the tropics, in 1999 Hanneke took up a position as (coastal/marine) Technical Advisor for a conservation project in the Philippines for the Netherlands Development Agency. Here she worked closely with local communities, conducted extensive coastal monitoring and training activities, and developed an integrated coastal management plan for the area.

In 2001 she moved to Kenya to join the United Nations Environment Programme, Regional Seas Programme where she dealt with a broad set of issues, including small islands issues, cetacean management, mangrove response to climate change and marine invasive species. Since September 2006 she works in Hamilton, Canada for UNU-INWEH as programme officer coastal zones, and together with Dr. Peter Sale manages and coordinates coastal projects, including the Dubai project.

Dr. Mulenga, a Fulbright Scholar, taught economics for many years as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Zambia. In 2003, he sent a detailed report Genetically Modified (GM)/ Genetically Engineered (GE) Food to President Levy Mwanawasa, encouraging him to reject GM corn (maize) Food Aid from the USA and demanded GM/GE-Free Corn instead. He also advocated for a "Made in Zambia" Solution for Zambia's Food Security Crisis.

The Toronto and East York Community Council on January 17, 2006 heard presentations from Kaela and others signifying in writing that he was legally qualified to hold the office of Councillor and consented to accept the office if appointed to fill the vacancy in the Office of Councillor for Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina. He lost to Martina Silva.

Dr. Sebastian Benaya is excited to relocate to the region. “Miramichi is a very nice and pleasant community. David, who is a professional engineer (P.E.) with more than 20 years of progressive technical and management experience in environmental, health and safety protection and sustainable development was appointed to the position of Director, Environment and Sustainable Development in April 2007.

Before that, he held a series of progressive positions with several mining companies, including Westmin Resources Limited and Goldcorp Inc. In 2003, he was the William S. Fifye Visiting Professor in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at the University of Western Ontario.
